A Chicago-based "Monthly Magazine of Original Writings," with covers by the likes of J. C. Leyendecker. This cover, for the first issue, is however not signed. The FictionMags Index lists the contents of the 1897-10 and 1905-02 (issue #63) issues, and the BigList says it ran a total of 71 issues; after its December, 1902, final issue, it "merged into THE PHILHARMONIC, devoted to the modern arts, which continued in April 1903, as THE MUSE, devoted to the modern arts."
