The airship Suchard of the Brucker Transatlantic Expedition. To counteract the sudden increase in buoyancy produced when the rays of the rising sun in the tropics strike the balloon, water ballast is taken in by scoops on the end of a dragline and a spray of cooling water is spurted over the envelope.
