The Jersey City tunnel station of the Hudson Companies. This station is 1000 feet long and is built below the Pennsylvania terminal. This station has been blasted out of the solid rock at a depth of 85 feet below street level. When the new Pennsylvania Railroad terminal at 33rd St. New York is completed, the big trainshed shown above will be handed over to the Hudson Companies, who will operate it in conjunction with the tunnel station below.
