Mercury, his foot entangled in a bicycle chain, has trouble keeping up with the Grand Rapids Clipper. Note they sell chainless Bevel-Geared Business Bicycles, so the emphasis on the chain in the image is odd. Published in the January, 1896 issue of BLACK CAT.
