Youth's Companion

One of the best-known children's publications of the late 19th and early 20th centuries was YOUTH'S COMPANION. While many of the issues resembled story newspapers more than magazines, they regularly ran well-crafted drawn or painted covers, sometimes by famous artists and illustrators.
