Pictorial Review

PICTORIAL REVIEW was another of the glossy magazines aimed at women, covering fashion, style, homemaking, and other things the editors thought women needed to know about. In 1937 it absorbed the famous women's magazine THE DELINEATOR, and seems to have made it to 1939 before succumbing to competition and the effects of the Depression. Jack Kerouac's novel Pic features a lead character named after this magazine.
