Travel

TRAVEL began as FOUR-TRACK NEWS, an advertising publication for the New York Central Railway. Within a few years it outgrew its original role and was spun off as a stand-alone magazine about travel everywhere. For much of the twentieth century it was the standard popular magazine about going places. A good short history of this magazine can be found at the eNewsstand project.
