Radio Digest

RADIO DIGEST began as a weekly newspaper with program information and trade gossip, but by 1927 was published in standard magazine format, four times a year. In 1929 it became a monthly, aimed at the fan market, and with the September, 1930 issue absorbed RADIO REVUE and RADIO BROADCAST magazines. The last issue we've seen was March, 1933, and it may have foundered in the Depression. There was a magazine of the same name, which may have been a different publication, published in the late 1930's until its final issue in 1939. The Library of Congress has its beginning in 1922, but no end date.

During the early 1930's it ran some fiction, including a couple of serials, and its covers were painted by the same artists who did the covers for movie fan magazines and other general-interest titles.
