Ladies' Home Journal
THE LADIES' HOME JOURNAL covered all aspects of what was thought of as womans' life of the time, especially current fashions, housekeeping, children, decoration, and the management of home economics. For relaxation there were lots of fiction, puzzles and games, many serious and informative articles, and some excellent cover artwork. And ads, lots of advertisements, for travel, cosmetics, clothing and fashions, jewelry, foods, domestic and kitchen appliances.
You can subscribe to the magazine, or find LHJ books, vintage copies and ads, and other related items on Amazon or eBay, and find Vintage Art posters and prints at Art.com.
In 1899 LHJ published a booklet on the authors and features coming up in the next issues. Click the + sign in the magnifying glass to make it large; you can even save pages to your computer.
