Pears' Soap -1896A

Ad for Pears' Soap, from the November, 1896 issue of the DELINEATOR. Celebrity endorsement from well-known preacher Henry Ward Beecher, at that point some twenty years after his adultery scandal with Elizabeth Tilton. The drawing is signed but not legible; the name is something like V. Grubayed.
