Old Drum Blended Whiskey -1939A

Celebrity endorsement for Old Drum Whiskey, from drummer Charlie Blake of the Larry Clinton orchestra. If you don't remember Clinton, he wrote "Dipsy-Doodle" and "My Reverie." Charlie walks off with a miniature gold drum for his powerhouse rhythm, and one of those is something we'd like to see on "Antiques Roadshow." It seems like 1939 was the year for word balloons (in this case, fumetti), and cluttered layouts with one each, of everything, pasted down. Published in the April 15, 1939 issue of LIBERTY.
