Locomobile Cars -1911A

Ad for the Locomobile Six, shown on Riverside Drive in New York City. Hey, that's Grant's Tomb on the left. Published in the October 26, 1911 issue of LIFE, the Humor Magazine. With ten-inch upholstery, "your chauffeur does not have to slow up for cross-walks, car-tracks, or rough spots in the streets." The rough spots may be hard on the tires and suspension, but that's nothing compared to the dents you'll get from the pedestrians you hit if you don't slow up for the cross-walks.
