Hartford Tires -1909A

The racers are Off! and the ones with Hartford tires will presumably ride easier, last longer, and save your car. Is she waving at her sweetheart, or did she just wave her hanky to start the action? Why are there two hands in the lower left corner? Published in the June 3, 1909 issue of LIFE, the Humor Magazine.
